During the voting period of the GMTK game jam, everyone pointed out some small issues, so in this update I fixed most of them
What's new
- Added diagonal movement
- Improved the top bars UI
- Buffed the zombie mode, now the zombies can pickup drops
- Added an in-game tutorial
- Now you need 1500 score to get to the boss instead of 2000
- Mobile version available
- Added volume-control sliders
- Reduced the role switching time
- Fixed minor bugs
I hope that now many of the issues mentioned in the comments, are now fixed :)
Retoohs 1.0
Retoohs v1.0 jam version
Retoohs is a reversed shooter game where you are the zombies and you have to kill the player and avoid letting them get points.
Goal
Collect the blue bonus points to get extra score and increase your health, you can get score by killing enemies, the player and the big gorilla boss (once you reach 2000 score and then after each 2000 score). Survive as much time as possible. When you are in zombie mode (it's difficult) try to avoid the player bullets and switch to zombies with guns (using arrow keys) to defeat the player.
When in zombie mode, switch to a zombie that has a gun a turn around the player to dodge the bullets (That's the trick)
The warning sign appears after some time and after that you switch the mode To return into the player mode you have to defeat the player. Sometimes it could appear a warning sign during the boss battle, this means that once the boss is defeated, you are going to switch mode.
Remember to restore your health when you are low and to use the explosion when there are many enemies near to each other.
Warning: remember that if you get overpowered, it gets difficult to defeat yourself.
Controls
- WASD to move
- Left click to shoot
- Right click to shoot explosion (there is a cooldown)
- Q to restore health (there is a cooldown)
- Arrows to switch between zombies when in zombie mode (You don't need a mouse in this mode)
- E to choose a drop that has lower rarity than the current gun. (It's written in the game so you don't need to remeber it)
Drops
- Common (50%)
- Epic (40%)
- Legendary (10%)
Each drop may contain a different type of gun depending on its rarity.
Made in 48h without a game engine, using Java and the JavaFX framework.
Available for Windows, Linux, Mac and browser. Downloadable builds are suggested as they work smoother and have less bugs
