Summary

With the introduction of #943 for SSR, we don't need to have puppeteer as a default package or renderer. Instead it could be moved to its own renderer.

Details

With this breaking change, it will be done as part of the next release; v0.26.0. We will want to make sure:

  1. Clean up optional install introduced by auto-detect and install puppeteer dependency for default prerendering #916
  2. Move dependencies out of the CLI package.json
  3. Update relevant website documentation
  4. Make WCC / HTMLElement default renderer and prerender implementation
