The solution removes the black bars that appear in the game at 48:9 or other resolutions wider than 32:9.
See my FOV changer if you would like to also change the field of view (at any aspect ratio).

  1. Download the mod archive below.
  2. Unpack the files to the main game folder containing the game executable.
  3. In the game, ensure the aspect ratio is set to Auto in the graphics settings.

To uninstall the fix, simply remove or move the files.

Note that the removal of black bars exposes things like white backgrounds, so there may be more flashing during the loading transitions.

Tested on the latest Steam version at 5760x1080. Additionally tested by SPIKE at 7680x1440.
