Session outline

Matthew Nicholls (Oxford; University of Reading) will discuss his work on making a large scale digital model of ancient Rome in the architectural modelling software SketchUp. The talk will cover the methodology and some of the technical processes of creating the model (including questions such as source material, decision-making about what to show and what not to show), and the uses of this work including in teaching both Roman architecture and digital modelling to undergraduate students.
