@arcivanov thanks for the contribution! Apologies in my delay in reviewing. This looks great, thank you! Still need to update the test matrix to verify all this works in CI, but I think I've caused enough delays here so I'll just handle that post-merge. All goes well, I'll get a new release with these changes out tonight.

No major issues in adding support, the bulpk of the work here is providing a smoke test for verification.

Also updated tox and classifiers with new compatible ranges.

Fixes TheKevJames#326
