[Feature Request] Autoplay sound posts on hover #87
Comments
That should be happening. The first control bar is from the video, and should be hidden, since the video is synced using js to the |
Actually, the outer controls bar only shows up on hover. It looks a bit redundant having two synced seekbars showing at the same time so maybe the control bar from the webm can be forcefully hidden on sound posts |
Are you using the full 4chan sound posts script? In that case, you should turn off XT's "Enable sound posts" setting, since those conflict. |
I meant to say the inner controls (the default ones). Also I am not using any other userscript for sound posts. I thought 4chan XT fully integrated the feature now so I didn't bother looking for the original script at all. 2024-08-10.12-56-27-.00.01.617-00.11.450.webm |
This appears to happen to me, but only on the 2nd time I expand the webm with sound. I also have 'Show Controls' enabled in the Settings. Latest Chrome. Enabling 'Image Hover' plays the webm, but with no sound - so I guess ideally it would honour the setting and play both the video and the audio (keeping in mind the 'Disable Autoplaying Audio' setting and ignoring that as a user would want audio, just as it ignores it with a webm for sound) Recording.2024-08-10.215745.mp4 |
I can reproduce the double controls when expanding the 2nd time. |
Maybe it's something that warrants its own issue since this was supposed to be a Feature Request for something else |
The double controls should be fixed in 2.13.0. |
I am not sure if this is a limitation of my browser (Librewolf 128.0-2) or what but I thought that having an opt-in option that would let you play soundposts simply by hovering an image/webm would be neat. I rarely extend normal webms inline when browsing /wsg/ or similar but regardless of what I do, making it behave the same way normal audio webms do would make sense, I think.
Additionally, two control bars are displayed when extending a sound post inline. Is this normal?
