IMPORTANT: The Wiki is still about v1.0 - the documentation for 2.0.0 has moved to https://twometer.dev/vr
TwometerVR is a project intended for people who have a virtual reality headset such as the Oculus DK2, that have no hand trackers/controllers to go along with it. It provides an open-source alternative to expensive commercial devices such as PS Move or the official Oculus Touch trackers. Currently, TwometerVR works with SteamVR and Windows.
To use TwometerVR, you need:
- A virtual reality headset
- A webcam with at least 30fps (and preferably 16:9 HD, otherwise you will have a very small tracking space)
- The TwometerVR controllers. Build instructions can be found here
- Download and install the TwometerVR Service from the GitHub release page
- Start TwometerVR and set up your camera and controller using the setup assistant.
- Begin playing and have fun :)
