Install instructions

Important

These install instructions only apply to patch versions starting from 4.2.0, and any backports released with them.

Legacy Versions have their own install instructions, which involve replacing the original add-on.

Installing

1. Download the version of the patch (or a backport) that most closely matches your Blender's version.
   Do not extract the .zip file!

2. Open Blender's Preferences (Edit > Preferences), and head to the Add-ons tab.
   
   

3. In the top-right corner, click the drop-down and select the Install from Disk... option. (In Blender versions before 4.2.0, this button simply says Install... )
   
   

4. Find and install the downloaded .zip file.

5. Once installed, find it and make sure it's enabled (the add-on's called FBX format - AHiT patch ).
   
   

If you did everything right, you should see additional Import and Export options!

Uninstalling - Blender 4.2.0 and up

As of right now (4.2.0), this option is exclusive to the Get Extensions tab. You should be able to find the patch under the Installed category. In its top-right corner, click the drop-down and select Uninstall.

Uninstalling - before Blender 4.2.0

Simply find the patch in the Add-ons tab, expand it and click Remove.
