IETF 104 Agenda

Jeffrey Yasskin edited this page Mar 27, 2019 · 6 revisions

We have a 20-minute session on how to standardize Web Packaging as a whole in DISPATCH Monday 9-11am in Congress Hall 3. Slides

  • DISPATCH strongly recommended a BOF.

We have a 10-minute session on Signed Exchanges in HTTPBIS Thursday 13:50-15:50 in Congress Hall 3. Since this happens after our side meeting, I'll try to present anything interesting that comes out of the side meeting. Draft slides

We have 2 hours in a dedicated side meeting Wednesday 15:00-17:00 in Athens/Barcelona. Slides

I propose to spend the first hour or so discussing the state of Web Packaging and the second hour drafting a charter and/or BOF proposal for IETF105 Montreal.

Agenda for the side meeting

  1. 5 minutes: Introduction, agenda bashing
  2. 10 minutes: Jeffrey Yasskin presents the state of the Web Packaging specifications, the Chromium implementation, support for people creating signed exchanges, and the people who are actually publishing signed exchanges.
  3. 20 minutes: Refine the use cases: https://wicg.github.io/webpackage/draft-yasskin-webpackage-use-cases.html
  4. 15 minutes: How do you feel about the security tradeoffs and other design decisions?
  5. 10 minutes: How should we split up the work between the IETF and W3C/WHATWG?
  6. 20 minutes: BOF Preparation
  7. Draft a charter.
