This one attempts to improve no_std, but does not yet address merlin using a rand_core version for which rand_os activates std: w3f/schnorrkel#31 (comment)

I've a "schizomerlin" branch that avoids invoking the std feature of rand_core, so you can try that out too.

Looks like schnorrkel is up-to-date now, so this is no longer needed.
