SmartPipette-Hardware

This repository contains the files needed to 3D print the Smart Pipette. The schematic PDF details how to connect the electronic components on the hand controller and the digital tube rack.

The following list includes the necessary electronics and additional materials to build one Smart Pipette v1. 

Electronics for Smart Pipette Hand Controller

  • Adafruit QT-Py ESP32-C3
  • Adafruit LiIon or LiPoly Charger BFF Add-On for QT Py
  • Adafruit 1201 Vibrating Mini Motor Disc
  • Sensata 9610R3.4KL2.0 Linear Potentiometer
  • MPU6050 Motion Sensor module
  • 3.7V, 800mA lithium battery
  • Push Button Switch - 12mm Square
  • P2N2222 NPN Transistor
  • 10k Ohm 0.5 Resistor
  • 1k Ohm 0.5 Resistor
  • JST 2-pin cable
  • JST Right-Angle Connector - Through-Hole 2-Pin
  • Switch
  • +Round Brass Tube: 5/16 inch (7.94 mm) diameter, 0.014-inch wall thickness, cut at 29 mm length.
  • +Comp 3/8 inch x 3/4 inch Metal spring

Electronics for Smart Pipette Digital Tube Rack

  • Arduino Nano V3.0
  • Push Button Switch - 12mm Square
  • RP-C7.6-ST Force Sensitive Resistor (x4 units)
  • 10k Ohm 0.5 Resistor (x5 units)
  • +EVA mid-density Foam 6mm thick (Ethylene-vinyl acetate)

Other Materials Needed

  • Filament for 3D printer (90 or 100% density settings for strength)
  • Light-duty wire, solder wire, and shrink wrap
