Issue description

Failed building example: https://readthedocs.org/projects/pypots/builds/25065263

Solution: According to the Read the Docs official guide https://docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/guides/pdf-non-ascii-languages.html, seems using xelatex engine can help solve it.
