This is a very basic, single-instance startup script for running MongoDB on Mac OS X. It is intended to run the defaults and without any authentication, but remain easy to modify to suit your needs. Feel free to fork to add features.
Make sure to install MongoDB from here:
http://www.mongodb.org/display/DOCS/Downloads
Using sudo or as root, copy the MongoDB directory and all its contents to /Library/StartupItems/ then start it like this:
sudo /Library/StartupItems/MongoDB/MongoDB start
-
Work with mongodb configuration files
-
Handle replication/sharding (maybe)
