How are NDB_Factory tests different than other ones?

In PR #7199 two tests are failing:

1) NDB_Factory_Test::testCandidate
LorisException: Could not select Candidate data from the database (DCCID: 300001)

2) NDB_Factory_Test::testTimepoint
LorisException: Failed to retrieve data for timepoint 1

/app/test/unittests/NDB_Factory_Test.php:255

But the database setup in the class's setUp function seems to be identical to other tests. For instance, the Database_Test tests are able to connect to the database and select.

Does anyone have any ideas what's different about these 2 tests that are causing them to fail?
