The generated Croatian locale isn't correct. Two last letters are misspelled in all months.

However, the sources (Google Closure) are correct

'lipanj', 'srpanj', 'kolovoz', 'rujan', 'listopad', 'studeni', 'prosinac'],

@chirayuk can this be added to your work on the i18n update?

I think it's not a bug, it's an inflected form (genitive case) which is required in Croatian dates like in many other Slavic languages. For example, look at the main page of the Croatian Wikipedia. You'll find dates there written like this: "29. studenoga", "1. prosinca". So it's OK for patterns like "d. MMMM", but if you just need to write a standalone name of a month, then yes, this form shouldn't be used, nominative case is needed. And again, it applies to many other Slavic languages: Polish, Ukrainian, etc. Often in date formatting code, this issue is solved by a simple check like:

useGenitive = /(^|[^d])d(?!dd)/.test(pattern);

It checks whether the pattern contains 'd' or 'dd'. This check is that simple even in the .NET base class library, so .NET erroneously uses genitive even when the pattern includes an escaped literal 'd' character:

var d = new DateTime(2014,12,1);
var culture = System.Globalization.CultureInfo.GetCultureInfo("hr");
Console.WriteLine(d.ToString("MMMM", culture)); // "prosinac"
Console.WriteLine(d.ToString("d MMMM", culture)); // "1 prosinca"
Console.WriteLine(d.ToString("\\c MMMM", culture)); // "c prosinac"
Console.WriteLine(d.ToString("\\d MMMM", culture)); // "d prosinca"

This issue was already raised in #3483. However, it's not true that "The nominative case can be used always, but the genitive case can be used only in some situations". As I've already written, some situations require nominative, and other require genitive.

I think the issue is that there are two ways to write a month, this is when the month is part of a date and when it is stand-alone. This is already defined at the CLDR, but angular does not copy nor adds the pattern support for this.

A PR that adds support for this would be welcome.

The Angular's localization files now have both versions present ("MONTH" and "STANDALONEMONTH"). But the date filter doesn't seems to be always using the right ones, actually it still only seems to use the "MONTH" version at all times

For example if you use "MMMM" to just get the month's name it should show the version from "STANDALONEMONTH".

Would it be possible to at least make the plain "MMMM" one behave correctly? Because if it does then AngularUI's datepicker will work correctly too. Thanks.

@Janneman84 This seems like an additional problem. Can you please open a new issue for that?

## Breaking Changes

While we do not deem the following to be a real breaking change we are highlighting it here in the
changelog to ensure that it does not surprise anyone.

- **$resource:** due to [47486524](angular/angular.js@4748652),

**Possible breaking change** for users who updated their code to provide a `timeout`
promise for a `$resource` request in version v1.4.8.

Up to v1.4.7 (included), using a promise as a timeout in `$resource`, would silently
fail (i.e. have no effect).

In v1.4.8, using a promise as timeout would have the (buggy) behaviour described
in angular/angular.js#12657 (comment).
(I.e. it will work as expected for the first time you resolve the promise and will
cancel all subsequent requests after that - one has to re-create the resource
class. This was not documented.)

With this change, using a promise as timeout in v1.4.9 onwards is not allowed.
It will log a warning and ignore the timeout value.

If you need support for cancellable `$resource` actions, you should upgrade to
version 1.5 or higher.
