This change smooths out a few little rough spots to improve clarity and reduce ambiguity. Also fixes a couple minor formatting things in the example code and expands on some ideas in a way that I believe will better express the intended meaning.

Hi Rob!

Thanks a lot for this PR! My text often requires some proofreading (to say the least). :)

I am rewriting some of this already and will try to incorporate your suggestions/corrections into it. I am expecting to publish next batch next week. Meanwhile, I will keep this PR open.
