PZEM-004T V3 issues #9687
Comments
Tasmota Arduino Core v2.7.4.5 allowing webpassword over 47 characters (arendst#9687)
What does the webfrontend show? What values are in the mqtt (log) messages? |
MQTT log matches web frontend
Also, I swapped pins on my connector today to get hardware serial working. I seen past issues with the Today's Energy resetting; this was happening to me also. I hope the hardware serial fixes that issue too. |
Sorry, i dont get what the issue is. You get values. What is wrong? |
The issue is the current is really high. It's 10x higher than I think it should be. This causes all readings to be high. |
The issue is the current reading is 10x too high. The kWh I read via the meter is also much lower than these readings |
Please add all the data which is asked in the issue template. |
Okay, updated the information. You can see that the Today's energy is all over the place, up and down. I just enabled setOption72 ON to see if that helps or worsens it. Before when I was on software serial it seemed to help. |
Now i am getting a bunch of zero, not sure what the heck is going on. Also I see this "Period" is going from a huge number to 0 and back. The voltage is now up to 160v. I checked with the DMM and it's still 121v as it was. I tried energyreset with no luck earlier. Something very odd is up with this thing. |
Hi, please, update to latest Tasmota version from development branch and try again. Thanks. |
Please, when you have time, let us know if this solves your issue. Thanks |
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
A clear and concise description of what the problem is.
Installed a PZEM-004T on 8.5.1 and had issues with no readings. Eventually I swapped the config for the module for RX to RX and TX to TX and it began working. But the information being read is extremely high.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
Have normal readings, and have the Hardware Serial setup to RX to TX and TX to RX.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT
I cannot get the math to add up in the sensor's program via buffer adding \ 1000. I did measure the current at the sensor, from the CT i am seeing 8.0mA and I am pretty sure 1000\1 CT sensor. 8,000mA would be 8 amps by the CT math?
