Aboot Password

Hi,

I'm required to set up a aboot password for our fabrics. AFAIK eos_designs nor eos_cli_config_gen do provide a appropriate input thus I reverted to custom_structured_configuration_eos_cli. Although the configuration (boot secret sha512 $6$....) is part of the intended/configs it is not considered by CVP. Also a manually created configlet in CVP won't work.

PS: Maybe it is because the aboot password is not stored within the startup / running config? Once I set the password via EOS CLI it will is preserved although new configs have been applied to the switch. Does it mean I need to configure an aboot password on-time?

Appreciated for any hints. I suppose it is an easy one :)

After talking to Arista this is intended as the Aboot password is not part of the running config. I manually set the Aboot password via pyeapi and the password is persistent even though additional configs are applied via CVP.
