Td also fetches updates from groups that we are not a member of like those appear linked_chat_id. Checking if we are a member of those groups first helps to prevent those linked chats to pop up. I needed the fix for #157 due to recent malicious spamming to my account. I was able to build/install @BenWiederhake's fork on Ubuntu 20.04 by also installing gperf so configure succeeded. I assume this will fix the spamming problem, and if not I will report back. It would be nice if a new release can be made so manual builds can be avoided. @BenWiederhake, thanks for creating this fork in the mean time. |
