FReatBoard

A MIDI tool for REAPER that allows adding notes to the piano roll using a fretboard-like grid.

Prerequisites

  • You need to install Lokasenna_GUI v2. Please follow the instructions in the End Users section.
  • Make sure to clone the repo to a folder called FReatBoard under the Scripts folder of your REAPER Resources Path

Color Coded Octaves

The fretboard is color coded in such a way that all similar octaves have the same color.

Scale Selector

Select the tonic note and the scale to highlight diatonic notes in the fretboard.

Tuning Selector

Controls the range of notes in the fretboard. Select from a list of presets that change the number of strings and frets.

Selection Mode

You can select between Chords or Single. With Chords mode, you have to click the Submit button in order to write the MIDI notes. With the Single mode, clicking on a note will write the MIDI note right away.

Enharmonic Mode

Controls how you want to visualize enharmonic notes (sharps or flats).

Velocity Selector

Select the velocity you want the notes written to use.
