Why &'static region and uri_template in aws_endpoint::partition::endpoint::Metadata config

I'm a little new to rust. i was wondering why the mentioned values are &'static because it made it challenging changing their values while building aws_endpoint::Partition.
Might be my implementation though.
i need to be able to change the region and uri_template for testing and environment purposes.
Below is my current implementation.

i guess because they are static (region and uri_template) , i can't easily wrap sqs_client and sqs_client in an Arc that i can use in several tokio::spawn tasks which is why i made them &'static too.
Would help greatly if i get some clarification on my assumptions

Hello! Thanks for reaching out! Can your give a little bit more detail about why you're setting a custom endpoint resolver? An endpoint resolver should be generated automatically for the SDK clients.

• Here's an example of using S3 with a manually provided region: https://github.com/awslabs/aws-sdk-rust/blob/main/examples/s3/src/bin/create-bucket.rs#L45-L49

It's also worth noting that the Client objects already use an internal arc so they should be cheap clones.

ah I see! To use localstack, you don't need a full endpoint resolver. Endpoint actually implements ResolveAwsEndpoint:

It seems Endpoint has been deprecated. Any migration path to how to do this with the latest sdk version?

You can either pass a static string into endpoint _resolver or use endpoint_url

Oh yeah .endpoint_url("http://localhost:8000") does work. I unfortunately had just mismatching versions (aws-sdk-dynamodb 0.21.0 and aws-config 0.51.0) so the types didn't fit properly even though I tried that. Thanks
