Hi @Wendi-West. I'm glad to review a new event submission from you! :) While reviewing your application I found the following questions:
|
Hi @Gemarodri <https://github.com/Gemarodri>
The link provided is for the registration. I shared that to show where the
attendees and speakers add / provide the demographic information as part of
the registration process (you'd have to log in to register in order to
access the questions / form as part of the registration). Post event, we
produce a transparency report. Here is an example from EU 2021
https://www.cncf.io/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/FluentCon-2021_report_Final.pdf
Additionally, we have a Diversity + Inclusion Slack channel during the main
KubeCon+CloudNativeCon event for anyone to provide feedback. And provide
this statement and email address: "If you have ideas on how we can create a
more inclusive event, please do not hesitate to let us know. Contact Angela
Brown, SVP & General Manager of Events, at ***@***.***" on
our Diversity + Inclusion
<https://events.linuxfoundation.org/fluentcon-north-america/attend/diversity-inclusion/#contact-us>
page.
Speakers can always reach out to the content team with questions and
feedback (and do.) When seeing this question on the application I asked the
content team if we had specific feedback forms and they thought it was a
good idea to investigate for future events.
As for the allotment of the diversity tickets, the selection is made by an
assembled group of reviewers who assess each application. There is a budget
set for travel funding for in-person attendance and the review committee
selects the number of applicants who best meet the eligibility and those
folx are awarded scholarships (complimentary registration plus travel
funding up to $1500). For the hybrid / virtual component, all eligible
applicants who complete the application are granted complimentary virtual
registration.
I hope that this answered your questions, but please let me know if I can
be of any more help or provide more information.
Thanks!
Wendi

While reviewing your application I found the following questions:
-
How are you going to collect Speaker feedback? In the submission you
added a link to the registration (
https://events.linuxfoundation.org/fluentcon-north-america/register/).
However, I cannot find any way to collect the feedback from speakers in
that page. I only see that speakers can contact CNCFColocatedEvents for
info regarding to registration.
-
How are you going to collect attendees feedback? Same as before.
-
What is the process for allocating diversity access tickets? It is not
clear to know how these diversity access tickets will be allocated. In the
web page it is mentioned that “Scholarships are awarded based on a
combination of need and impact.” But, it is not clear how the impact would
be measured or what impact means here.
