IADA

This study proposes a system that uses NLP technologies to facilitate access to legislative information in the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation Argentina. The system is based on an LLM and a user-centered design, and aims to improve transparency and citizen participation in the legislative process.

Installation

To install and run the application, follow these steps:

  1. Install Docker:

    • For Windows: Download and install Docker Desktop from the official Docker website.
    • For macOS: Download and install Docker Desktop from the official Docker website.
    • For Linux: Follow the instructions specific to your Linux distribution to install Docker.
  2. Clone the project repository:

    git clone https://github.com/bartolomeoadrian/iada
    
  3. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd iada
    
  4. Run the Docker ecosystem:

    docker compose up
    
  5. Access the application: Open a web browser and navigate to http://localhost to access the running Docker application.

That's it! You have successfully installed and run the Docker project. For more advanced configuration and usage, refer to the project's documentation.

Configuration

To configure the project, create a .env file in the root directory of the project and add the following variables:

COMPOSE_PROJECT_NAME=iada

PORT=80
POSTGRESQL_URL=postgres://postgres:postgres@postgresql:5432/iada
CHROMA_URL=http://chroma:8000
GEMINI_API_KEY=

Make sure to replace the values of POSTGRESQL_URL and CHROMA_URL with the appropriate URLs for your PostgreSQL and Chroma instances.

Save the .env file and you're all set!

Development

To install and run the application, follow these steps:

  1. Install Docker:

    • For Windows: Download and install Docker Desktop from the official Docker website.
    • For macOS: Download and install Docker Desktop from the official Docker website.
    • For Linux: Follow the instructions specific to your Linux distribution to install Docker.
  2. Clone the project repository:

    git clone https://github.com/bartolomeoadrian/iada
    
  3. Navigate to the project directory:

    cd iada
    
  4. Run the Docker ecosystem:

    docker compose -f docker-compose.dev.yml up --build
    
  5. Access the application: Open a web browser and navigate to http://localhost to access the running Docker application.
