There are a number of conditions that block/restrict transfers. Verify these blocks and alert/warning messages are in place for all Transfer Types.

BC REG Staff Transfers:

Transfers must not be permitted on a home due to the following:

  1. If Home is Exempt (hide change owner button)
  2. If Home is Cancelled (hide change owner button)

Staff can still file a transfer (with warning messages) when there are PPR liens and unit notes on the homes


Qualified Supplier Transfers:

Transfers must not be permitted on a home due to the following (display message, deactivate change owner button):

  1. Active PPR Lien:
  • Marriage/Separation Agreement Affecting Manufactured Home
  • Land Tax Deferment Lien on a Manufactured Home
  • Maintenance Lien
  • Manufactured Home Notice
  • Possession under s.30 of the Sale of Goods Act

*NOTE: If the only PPR registration is a PPSA security interest, allow QS to complete a Transfer and display a WARNING message which the qualified supplier must acknowledge. There are two exceptions to this - see requirements

  1. Active Unit Notes:
  • Notice of Tax Sale (TAXN)
  • Confidential Note (NCON)
  • Restraining Order (REST)
  1. If Home is Exempt (hide change owner button)
  2. If Home is Cancelled (hide change owner button)

@tlebedovich do you have anything else you want to add in here? Zenhub is having issues pasting images so I tried to past the specific warnings from the design but when they wouldn't load I resorted to just adding the larger design file.

@mstanton1 - you can add images using git hub. I think @LizGovier is the master of all transfer restrictions that happen when there is a lien or if the home is exempt so I don't have a single source of truth. 😀 I guess this isn't really specific to transfers per say, but to the MHR Information page itself. Just verifying that all of these transfer types would also not be allowed when there are transfer restrictions on an MHR.
