Cantos is a static website generator written in F#. It is similar to Jekyll.
Use Cantos to:
- Generate a blog which you can host on Github Pages or Site44.
- Generate a website (with a blog) and some books with table of contents (like this one).
Cantos was written in 2012 as a "real-world" F# learning tool and to help me generate the Entcify website. I still use Cantos for this purpose, but am not actively developing it because it meets my current needs. Cantos could be simplified and the F# code improved considerably, but I don't have plans to do it at this time (even though I want to!). I'm keeping the project public regardless and may change my mind if anyone else develops an interest or my requirements change. - @bentayloruk.
Cantos will use Pandoc if you have it installed (and MarkdownDeep if not). Mainly because Pandoc is awesome. And this.
Hmmm. I may change the name (I quite like morph). I'm calling it Cantos at the moment as I'm on book 4 of Dan Simmons Hyperion Cantos and Cantos seemed more applicable than Shrike (I need a Shrike OSS project). I'm listening to these books on Audible and they are AMAZING!
