MENUS

Intro

When the game is initialized, a screen is showed on the monitor or arcade with the name and logo from the company producer, the publication year and a shor paragraph with copyright laws.

Some seconds later, two logos appear in two different screens, which are the ones from the developer companies which worked to create the game. Both logos have a little animation.

After these screens, one more is shown, in which the characters and concept art is the main part of the screen, with the logo of "Super Smash TV" in front of both of the fighters.

The next part consists in some paragraphs that tells a bit of story and lore of the game to help immersing the player or players.

Finally, right before the first menu appears, the high scores are shown to incite the player beat them and make him/her play more time.

Main menu

The next screen we can see is the main menu. Int this menu we can see that the user has three options to choose from, and depending on the option he chooses he will be able to play in one way or another. The player can choose whether he wants to play alone (One player) or with another player (Two players). The next option that we can choose is the difficulty of the game in "SKILL", which we can choose if it is "Eady", "Normal" or "Hard".

In Game

The UI In Game is very simple. The game starts with a presenter on a crowded tv stage and after the characters come from the sides, they both go to the right of the screen and pass through the doors to the first room with a sign that prints the number of the arena and the position on the map respect the boss.

There are always a little transaction form arena to arena and in case the player manages to find one of those, it can go to a secret room with tons of loot.

At the end of the level, and after defeating the corresponding boss, the characters will return to the very beginnig of the game (the main stage) and return to another room. The animation of the change will be the same as the one we see on the first arena entry, but the background changes.

Game Over

When the player loses all lives, a message with the availabe credits will appear on the screen with a countdown for the user to decide. If the player decides to continue, 1 credit will be subtracted from the total number of lives as he/she had at the beginning. If the player has no credits availabe, a screen will appear indicating the end of the game. ![] (https://camo.githubusercontent.com/fa959453576860c69f69014f38d20881080a1474a7616be0907d562d698c806a/68747470733a2f2f692e706f7374696d672e63632f4d5a6d334c4266512f47616d652d6f7665722e706e67)

Once all lives and credits have been used up, the record table for that platform will be displayed showing the top 10 players who achieved the 10 best scores on that console.

Level or final game

Once you have passed a level, a screen will appear that will tell you how many points you have scored in that level and the power ups you have collected on that floor.

As soon as the player beats all the bosses in the game, an animated screen will appear with a text explaining the protagonist's end in the TV quiz show.

Once the credits screen is over, we will see another screen where we can enter our initials in order to register our score and find out if we are among the highest scoring players on the same console. ![] (https://camo.githubusercontent.com/d51d83b09d19ba2cb36bbbae73f5e06df448f2dd3c86adf67513be1fb58143f7/68747470733a2f2f692e706f7374696d672e63632f3750704836705a342f437265646974732d342d312e706e67)

HUD Analysis

The HUD is not very complicated but at the same time it is rare to see how well it is integrated with the background, it really makes a good point because is prettier to see it that way and not just a square with your punctuation inside. The punctuation it is right next to the number of lives remaining and above the simplified version of the face of the corresponding character. And it is well integrated because it seems to be there specifically for the viewers of that game to see how much the players can entertain them as the prologue explains.
