There was a mismatch of gradle versions in the project and the used versions were all outdated.

  • Upgraded to Gradle 7
  • Upgraded to Bitmovin Player 3.39.0
  • Upgraded targetSdkVersion to 33
  • Make gradle files and dependencies a bit more maintainable by pulling them into central places
