IMS Incident Types

IMS incident types are used to classify incidents for reporting and search purposes. The list of incident types currently used by Rangers in BRC is below.

Note that there are two special incident types which are used to exclude incidents from reporting. These are "Admin" and "Junk". See below for details.

  • Admin — Administrative information; not an actual incident in the field. Used for tracking informational calls such as "Tool is in a meeting until 1500" or other administrative details that are relevant to IMS users but not an actual incident. These incidents are excluded from reporting.

  • Aggressive Participant — A participant is or is potentially violent.

  • Animal — An animal is involved.

  • Art — An art project (either an art piece, or a member of an art project) is involved.

  • Art Safety — A safety concern is raised regarding an art project.

  • Assault / Domestic — Possible domestic violence. Any physical violence between two parties in a domestic relationship.

  • Assault / Other — Other types of assault.

  • LNT Compliance — An LNT Compliance issue, such as a fuel spill. Generally means that the LNT Compliance team should be notified.
