About this release

This is a new minor version release.

This release features minor bug fixes, adds a menu option to unlock the wallet for staking, and enables a more smooth connection to the network.

Upgrading

This release is not mandatory.

If you are running an older version, shut it down. Wait until it has completely shut down (which might take a few minutes for older versions), then backup your wallet and private keys.
Start the new client: run the installer (on Windows) or just copy over /Applications/Bytz-Qt (on Mac) or bytzd/bytz-qt (on Linux) and run it.

About this release

This is a new major version release, bringing new features, various bugfixes and other improvements.
Most notably, BYTZ Core 2.0 is a hard fork to the BYTZ blockchain that introduces six major changes to the network:

  1. Guardian Validator Nodes (GVNs) Replace Masternodes
  2. Rewards Align With Enterprise Partnerships
  3. Block Reward Scarcity Increases
  4. Core Code Migration
  5. The BYTZ Carbon-Neutral Initiative
  6. Fungible and Non-Fungible Tokens
