This write-up provides a log of the technical learnings from one year working on the civkit project. They only reflect my own technical opinion and not the ones of the other contributors of the project. For wider information, I’m not actively working on the project since few months, neither have merge rights anymore.
Still, I was caring about logging the technical learnings in a publicly accessible fashion, for anyone building peer-to-peer markets in the future. At the end of the day, whatever the original peer-to-peer markets architecture design to bootstrap an early product, you’re constraint by economics and physics so better to study the problem-space with a strong engineering mindset.
