A Cover is now linkable from TinyMCE only if you add "collective.cover.content" manually to the list of Linkable Objects in TinyMCE control panel.
But for full referential integrity, also Referenceable behaviour would need to be added.
And, in an ideal world, maybe a setup profile that automatically adds it to TinyMCE's list of Linkable Object. It would allow content editors to directly link to Covers out of the box, without drawbacks I can think of.
