Home
Clone the repository.
Within the repository, run
$ npm install
$ npm start
Then, on your local web browser, visit localhost:3000 and you should arrive on the landing page.
You can sign in with either Gmail (using Google's own authentication) or email. You have to provide an email and a password.
Upon sign-in, you'll be taken to the Edit Profile page, where you can enter your personal details.
If you're an existing user, entering your email on the landing page will cause the application to prompt you to enter your password for the account associated with the email.
You can access the Swiping Page by clicking the underlined 'Capitalist Hinge' to the left of the navigation bar.
After sign-in and sign up, you'll be taken to the swiping page. The people you match with will be displayed at the center of the screen.
You know how it goes from here, you sexy devil!! ;P Swipe right for people you're interested in, left for those you aren't. If the two of you end up swiping right on each other, you'll match with them and be able to view their profile within the 'MATCHES' section.
If you've matched with people, you can view your matches by clicking the MATCHES button on the navigation bar.
Clicking the 'view details' button on a desired matched person will display a popup. Clicking elsewhere will close the popup.
It's on you, the user, to reach out to your special someone using the Contact Info/LinkedIn they've provided. Capitalist Hinge does not have a messaging system because we didn't have time to implement one because after years of painstaking research and development, we've found that making users take the initiative to reach out leads to more high quality matches and stronger personal connections.
You can view your profile page by clicking on the 'PROFILE' button on the navigation bar.
Click the pencil icon to the right of your name to edit your details.
Here, you can re-enter or change your details. Once you're happy, click 'SAVE' to save your details. If you want to undo your changes, pressing the 'RESET' button will revert the details to their last saved state.
You can sign out by clicking the 'Sign Out' button on the navigation bar, which will take you back to the landing page.
