Hello, there 👋

Name's Dan.

I work at Microsoft on a project called Hyperlight. Previously, I worked on SpiderLightning/slight.

I am a champion to 7 WASI proposals: wasi:http, wasi;keyvalue, wasi:config, wasi:blobstore, wasi-distributed-lock-service, wasi:messaging, and wasi:sql.

I love helping people learn! Here are some of the things I am doing:

  • I am teaching people Rust/Wasm on my YouTube Channel - danlogs.
  • I am working with Manning on publishing a book for Wasm on the server-side. The book's code is partially available here. You can check out the book's early preview here
  • I made an Intro to Rust course with Udacity, you can check it out here.

On my free-time, I like playing fighting games (e.g., Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), and watching post-apocalyptic shows (e.g., Star Trek).
