add sensor to monitor connection so as to fixe #70

This branch modifications were supposed to instrument the component so as to make a better diagnostic of the #70 issue.
In this context I had also remove the "this->isUARTConnected_ = false;" instructions.
Considering users feedback it looks like the issue has been fixed.
