see eclipse-theia/theia#13309

according to @msujew this just requires adding packages.

We should also mention it on the welcome page:

  1. That it is beta
  2. That it uses a server infrastructure

@msujew Could you please deliver the text to be used for the welcome page as discussed (ideally as a PR)

The PR that prepares the update to version 1.53 can be found here: PR #384. This PR includes the addition of the collaboration package.
