This is a follow up of #53, to implement workspace-wide symbol resolution support.

Adding some notes we developed during today's meeting:

  • For modules compiled with coq-lsp, the information is present in [Fleche.Doc.toc]

  • For modules not compiled with coq-lsp, we need to build a database of what is around the workspace, that involves scanning the modules

  • Given a definition, we may want to resolve it to a global path first with Coq, tho this has some problems (what if we are tying to locate something that is not loaded ?)

  • But assuming the previous point, we should be able to locate a definition by building a global index

  • The global index needs to be reconstructed from .glob files, for this it is better we first are able to have a map from libraries to files

  • This map is a bit tricky to build due to loadpath handling

  • Assume you have something like Foo.Bar.Moo.def

  • Now you need to map a global scope identifier to a file, example, flags can be -Q Foo.Bar src/matata

  • then the map has to resolve to src/matata/Moo.v

  • then we can use the info in src/matata/Moo.glob

  • beware of UTF-8!
