The "Alert me if there is no data" does not work as expected. After discussion this with @vinaychandrasekhar we came to the conclusion that it should behave exactly the same way as the Metric Threshold group by "no data" detection. When a host stops reporting we should detect the change and issue a "no-data" alert. We should use the same "missing group" detection from this PR: #126214

AC

  • When host stops reporting send a "no-data" alert
  • Add metrics.inventory_threshold.nodata action group for "no-data" alerts
  • Remove duplication from both the Inventory Threshold Rule and the Metric Threshold Rule.
