Important note
While working on this release, I discovered ALL previously saved SHSH blobs for A10X/A11 devices are INVALID.
This includes iPhone 8/X, iPad Pro 2nd gen, Apple TV 4K.
- I have updated my fork of tsschecker to now support these devices.
- You can check whether your SHSH blobs are valid using @arx8x's Telegram JailbreakBot.
- @1Conan's TSS Saver has been updated as well.
- Or if you're an advanced user, you can use my fork of img4tool.
(Still needs some work for validating some devices)
In this release
- Fixes baseband issues preventing iPhone 8 & X restores.
- 8/X restores are untested! More work may have to be done with the Savage (Face ID) firmware on iPhone X.
- New
--exit-recovery
flag. This makes it so you can easily get out of recovery mode without relying on a separate tool like ReiBoot.- Windows usage:
futurerestore.exe --exit-recovery
- macOS usage:
./futurerestore --exit-recovery
- Windows usage:
- The tool will no longer fail on undocumented basebands. Instead, it will retrieve baseband information from the booted device (leave your device in normal mode when starting the tool). If the baseband is undocumented, it will prompt you with information that you can create a GitHub issue with, so that it can be supported in futurerestore/tsschecker.
- The Windows version no longer needs all those random DLL files. Small victories.
For v0rtexNonce users
Some v0rtexNonce users have reported issues getting into recovery mode, or having their nonce values reset when starting futurerestore. For more information & possible solutions, see issue #2 and arx8x/v0rtexNonce#22.
