Apply #11870 fix to react 15

We are not able to update react to the latest version yet, but I need this simple fix in react 15,

Hi,

Thanks for PR but we’re not planning to cut more 15.x releases. It’s error-prone because our build system was different, and there’s a high risk of breaking something else if we do that. We would only do this for absolutely critical bugs like high-risk security issues.

React 16 was released almost a year ago, and we encourage you to upgrade when you can. In the meantime you’re welcome to use a fork.
