Description of the desired feature

There are some little tricks that we've been covering in replies to issues that are not included in the docs (or not very well documented). For example, #185 had trouble because of zip files containing a date that changed every time (even though the file contents didn't change). It would be useful to have a section dedicated to these little tricks/gotchas (not sure what to call it). We just need to start it at this point and included the notice about zip files. We can build it up slowly as these things pop up.

Are you willing to help implement and maintain this feature? Yes but would welcome anyone else who wants to do this
