If you visit a project on release-monitoring.org, you see the list of all versions. This list contains the date, on which the version was released. But I have not found a way to get this date with the API in the documentation. Could this be added?

This is easy to add, but keep in mind this is not a release date, but the date when the Anitya obtained the version. It could differ from actual release date.

Sounds good

but keep in mind this is not a release date, but the date when the Anitya obtained the version.

In most cases, Anitya gets the new version the same day as it released. So for my case this would be good enough.

@abompard I'm interested in working on this task, can you assign it to me? I'm an Outreachy Intern.

Hi @ginjardev , I think you can assign yourself using the link at the top of the right column, no? If not, I'll assign it to you.

Sorry @onyiipaula , there's only one assignee per ticket and it's basically a first-come first-serve basis. Please pick another ticket.

@abompard I can't assign it to myself. Kindly assign it to me.

Are there any updates on this issue? I wanted to use the API, but I specifically need this feature for my use case.

@Schmazda I didn't saw any PR for this yet, so no update on this one.

Are you using vagrant? It should do much of the things for you.

Recently we updated the documentation for Anitya especially for the virtual env. But I recommend using vagrant or docker deployment as those two will setup most of the things for you.
