I'm Filip and I wear many hats depending on what is required of me but most of the time I jump between full stack web developer, family guy & hobbyist Warhammer 40000 player/painter.
For more than a decade in the industry as a web application developer for a one year I've switched my career path to become a junior game developer in Danish company Omnigame - but finally game development isn't for me. Still, it was really exciting. I'm currently working as a software engineer for a Swiss company - Neoinstinct as I feel more confident with web applications.
🎁 If you'd like to buy me something there is a short and "curated" wish list.
- When I won't be able to be a software developer I want to focus on woodworking, Warhammer 40k, board games (not just collecting them but even playing), RPG stuff & painting mini figures.
- I love Who Am I movie (the one from Germany)
- I feel more focused with a hoodie puts on
- I'm a big fan of Iron Man and Hulk
- I really enjoyed Universe of Metro 2033 books series; also a big fan of two books: "Daemon" and "Freedom" written by Daniel Suarez.
- I'm a beginner in Warhammer 40,000 universe. Necrons is my first army of choice. However right now Leagues of Votann is on the table. And I really ❤️ it.
- I write my personal thoughts on ⚙️ Tech & 🌱 Life on my ✍️ Personal Blog - more or less regularly.
- Software Architecture, microservices, distributed systems and all the fancy keywords
- AWS (mostly web applications related services)
- Machine Learning
- Software Design Patterns
- Work on my Software Craftsmanship
- Messaging queues (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, RQ)
- best practices related with API design and its security
- Chakra UI, PrimeReact, Tailwind CSS
- deeper understanding of Docker ecosystem
- Building and managing CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, Travis CI
- syntax of Mermaid and/or maybe PlantUML, BPML
- Redis, MongoDB, GraphQL, Elasticsearch, Solr, AirFlow
- Responsive Web Design (Flexbox, Grid)
- Progressive Web Application
- Web Applications Security
- TypeScript (maybe with Functional Programming (fp.js))
- Asynchronous programming (asyncio, threading, Promises, async/await)
- Quality Assurance: E2E, TDD, BDD (pytest, jest, vitest, Selenium, Cypress)
- Network troubleshooting (CCNA or something similar); building and managing home networks
- ...
I know the list is long, but let's be honest - our world is awesome place with lots things to learn, even if we just focus on tech industry.
