1 Hudson Debian packages
-----------------------------

Hudson can be installed as a Debian package, which enables:

* Automatic upgrade of Hudson via apt
* /etc/init.d hook up to start Hudson on boot 

	wget -q -O - http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/debian/jenkins-ci.org.key | sudo apt-key add -
	sudo sh -c 'echo deb http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/debian binary/ > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jenkins.list'
	sudo apt-get update
	sudo apt-get install jenkins


Once the package is installed, apt-get update; apt-get install jenkins will update Hudson. See Wiki for more information.

2 Install Hudson plugins
----------------------------- 

Loginto hudson at http://localhost:8080 and add the following plugins

* Email-ext plugin
* Git Plugin
* Github plugin
* View Job Filters
* Post build task

restart jenkins afterwards if no jobs are running.

3 Configure Hudson and slave nodes
----------------------------- 
create ssh-key and upload it to github

	ssh-keygen
	
tell github who jenkins is

	git config --global user.email florian.weisshardt@ipa.fhg.de
	git config --global user.name ipa320
	
allow jenkins user to permanently use sudo rights by adding this line at the end of /etc/sudoers with sudo visudo

jenkins ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

4 Generate hudson jobs
----------------------------- 

execute create job script

	./create_job.sh GITHUBUSER REPOSITORY ROSRELEASE [EMAIL]
