Meeting Log - 2016.05.06.

Participants: All members of the team

Topics

Upcoming deadlines

  • SMART: May 23. 2016

  • University Day (Organized by Ericsson): May 31. 2016

  • EclipseCon France: June 7-9. 2016. We should prepare

    • a simple demo and

    • a flyer for the project

  • EclipseCon Europe: end of October/start of November 2016. Location: Ludwigsburg, on-site demo

Known Issues and TODOs

High level requirements (VD-reqs)

  • Eliminate SPOFs from the system

  • Find a permanent location for the demonstrator (anywhere anytime)

  • Prepare ready-to-go scenarios for different demos

Global TODOs:

  • Documentation is missing for several components

    • Textual documentation

    • SysML for requirements

    • SysML models for the system components

  • Testing

Hardware

  1. Segment switch. (Relay related issue)

  2. Automatic deployment, configuration management

  3. Integration of control electronics to the desk

  4. Enhanced camera, deploy the computer vision system to the desk

  5. Missing sensors for the robot arm. (Crane grabber closed/open)

  6. Engine control from PC - replace multimouse

  7. Rebuild robot arm (from scratch)

  8. Lighting

Train system software

  1. Unit tests for distibuted logic (now HIL tests available)

  2. CV module

  3. Monitornig & dashboard is needed (fat client and/or web application)

  4. Live model component (related to the dashboard and monitoring)

  5. Refactor VQL pattern definitions

Robot arm

  1. Performance issues on current verison:

    • solution A: keep the hardware, rewrite the client in C

    • solution B: replace the hardware (potentially with Raspberry PI)

  2. Smoke tests were done to the code, but nothing more

  3. Future and perspectives for OpenModelica model

  4. OpenModelica integration issues and challenges

Development tools

  1. Verify designs (e.g. using Yakindu2UPPAAL)

  2. Test generation

  3. Apply tool-provided techniques to ensure safety

  4. Create a professional webpage for the project. Possible options:

    • create a stream for the MoDeS3 project under the VIATRA blog

    • create own site for the project

Other notes:

  • The "computer vision" component depends on the robot arm

  • Integration of new subsystems (drone, autonomous car) are postponed for now

  • TODO Vöri: involve Bence Graics in the team

  • Zoltán Micskei offered help for testing and verification

  • Time synchronization is typically applied when multiple sensors are present in a system (application of Samu’s and Gergő’s expertise)

  • Preparations for the "ReTe" subject

  • projektek: kiberfizikai rendszerek-rendszerek kollaborációja.

  • project management: in addition to regular team meetings Slack is used for communication and Github for issue tracking

  • Comments from Zsolti:

    • A list of items should be created. In order to keep track of the available devices Marci should administer handing out and taking back devices

    • The current desk on which the railroad is mounted is aging, and the tracks are deforming. This is an issue to be solved by building a new, more durable desk.
