Channel groups

The contents of the "national", "regional" and "local" channel groups for TV and radio (used for filtering channels in the programme index cache) are shown below.

Note that during indexing, channel name variants are merged as follows:

• BBC One variants are indexed with channel name "BBC One"
• BBC Two variants are indexed with channel name "BBC Two"
• BBC Radio 4 variants are indexed with channel name "BBC Radio 4"
• BBC Radio Scotland variants are indexed with channel name "BBC Radio Scotland"

Use the channel names below when specifying cache refresh constraints with --refresh-include or --refresh-exclude. Use the merged names when filtering search results with --channel or --exclude-channel. To distinguish Radio 4 from Radio 4 Extra, use a regular expression: "Radio 4$".
