Hello Geeks,
Getting the error after installing the package. Do I need to update any other packages ?

Basic Info:

Angular CLI: 8.3.29
Node: 10.16.0
Angular: 8.2.8

    "tslib": "^1.10.0",
    "@angular/cli": "^8.3.29",
    "@angular/compiler-cli": "~8.2.8",

I think it might be related to the fact that the library was built using TypeScript@4 while Angular@8 uses TypeScript@3.

I tried forcing an Angular@8 project to use TypeScript@4 but that didn't work.

I was able to get it to work by using skipLibCheck compiler option in tsconfig.json:

"compilerOptions": {
    "skipLibCheck": true
}

Are you able to give that a try?

Thanks @socsieng. This helped me in removing the compile error but will it impact the typing feature of my project...?

Enabling --skipLibCheck can help work around these issues. Turning it on will prevent Typescript from type-checking the entire imported libraries. Instead, Typescript will only type-check the code you use against these types. This means that as long as you aren't using the incompatible parts of imported libraries, they'll compile just fine.

It shouldn't affect type checking of the types that you reference.
