This is Gridcoin not GRCPOOL thats a separate and unrelated supposedly not promoted by Gridcoin and they need their own forum on their website. With Gridcoin being crossed between 20,000 social media and document/software repositories and maybe someone should and or could #1 separate the centralization of assumption with GRCPOOL being the only way to earn Gridcoin let alone that initial beacon so they already hold a monopoly as the only pool and thank god for http://gridcoin.ch and his faucet being open to everybody vs gridcoinstats.eu where you are forced to GRCPOOL. #2 give all portions and entities their own forum and support medium on the site itself vs for example github , you could post on the grcpool website/hostsite's forum and zomg wtfbbq gridcoin.us as a forum for users vs github and we could even add Boinc Pr0n! #3 better separate support directing it to the right person IE; rob doesn't need spam on github for grcpool and it makes the community know what they are doing and gives their users whom do not a single point of contact website forum/medium per the separate entities. |
this repo is not a rant and rave forum so I'm clueless as to the harsh post that you have provided against a user who was clueless and needed some direction. So lets go through your message. The new user clearly made an error and thought he was posting in the correct place however that has been rectified -> #981 (comment) Yes you are correct Gridcoin and GRCPOOL are two separate entities. However we DO NOT promote said pool. We do however provide users with an abundance of information on the main website and being that there is only 1 current pool then it is also the only one on the website. If another pool did come along it to would be posted amongst the information provided for the community. Damn... I mean like damn? 20000 social media document and software repositories? i'm not aware of an abundance of social media outlets. We do cover the most common as not all users have accounts on every social media site out there and the audience is growing weekly. What other platforms like github are you finding these repositories? I was completely unaware that there is any asserted assumption that GRCPOOL is the only way to earn gridcoin. I started out on the pool myself to get initial coins built up to go solo and thats what I did as well as many others who did not wish to initially purchase coins in advanced. Again no one forced them or I to make that choice. With that being said you can earn GRC being solo as well. Maybe I missed that in your post. Upon investigation of the claim that gridcoinstats,eu forces you to GRCPOOL is unfounded and grossly incorrect. On the faucet page there is no mention of using said pool in question. After all it does say "There is no requirements to be a BOINC Researcher" .Researchers can get extra from the Research fund yes. This is not new the old faucets did the same. As for the other faucet you mention; it is up the the host of the faucet to take donations and distribute them in a responsible but also sustainable manner. Also note people who donate to those faucets choose where they want there coins to go. That is the choice of the dona-tee. BoincPr0n you say? thats an interesting concept. Showing off hardware you use to crunch which also gives other potential Gridcoin users options and ideas for equipment of there own. HARMFUL I know. tisk tisk. Well now that has been said and cleared up. I'd like to thank you for the kind warm welcoming post to a new cruncher in the community. It is always nice and warm feeling to have a community member who accepts and helps out a user or points them to the right place in a kind respectable manner. If you feel you need to continue to use faucets to collect payouts and build up your coin supply then do so or Invest in some coins instead. The choice is yours and the choice is the same for all users. |
@denravonska this can be close now, the original poster has been helped. |
Dear Gridcoin Research Team,
I am listing below the links from my grcpool. The task is showing as invalid due to which magnitude and estimated GRC daily is showing as 0.
As per grcpool website information pool profit usually reflect in 24hrs.
Kindly provide suggestion to enable task as Valid resulting in profitable magnitude and GRC daily in grcpool participation.
I will update you on further information needed as per requirement in order to get profitable participation in grcpool. At the moment Boinc, Gridcoin Wallet along with grcpool are absolutely synchronized.
