I recently spent decent amount of time trying to find out what's the cause of the following error:

Error loading config: Error loading /var/workspace/.../main.tf: Error reading config for aws_instance[ami]: root: not an object type for map (ValueTypeString)

until I realised it's actually because I forgot to specify the resource name:

resource "aws_instance" {
    ami = "ami-2cd3dc44"
    instance_type = "m1.small"
}

I believe the parser could be a bit smarter and display a better error message.
