Rhymechan

Formerly known as Rhyby.

Rhymechan helps u 2 konvert ill messagez in2 da dope rhyme and flow with vibez of da new $hit.

Prerequisite

• Elasticsearch
• mecab
• mecab-ipadic

Usage

Elasticsearch must be running for Rhymechan to work.

Get Hatena keyword list.

$ bin/rails index:get_keywords

Then create Elasticsearch index (it takes a while) .

$ bin/rails index:create

Setup database.

$ bin/rails db:create
$ bin/rails db:migrate
$ bin/rails db:seed

Now you are all set. Let's start Rails server.

$ bin/rails s

Deployment via Docker Compose

$ docker-compose up

# Run migration
$ docker-compose run rails bin/rails db:migrate
$ docker-compose run rails bin/rails db:seed

# Create Elasticsearch index
$ docker-compose run rails bin/rails index:create

You still need to set some environment variables. See secrets.env.example for further details.

Using S3 as the CarrierWave backend storage instead of local filesystem

Set the below environment variables:

AWS_USE_S3=false # true if you want to use S3, otherwise use local filesystem
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=xxxxxxxxxx
AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=xxxxxxxxxx
AWS_REGION=xxxxxxxxxx

Uploaded files are stored in the buckets called rhymechan-{environment} (e.g. rhymechan-production) .
