We usually _explicitly_ call connect before calling `prep` but we may disconnect somewhere in-between. We _don't_ want to get stuck here dialing if the context has been canceled.

My first commit adds a bunch of package doc strings to ipfs in an attempt to make it easier for people to navigate the source via godoc. Its not complete yet as there are some packages that im not sure how to summarize, so help is definitely appreciated!
